Dena Ayala – CEO and President 

 Dena Ayala is the President & CEO of Spencer Reed Consulting, So Cals finest recruiting firm. Dena’s passion is people. She prides herself in living a purpose-driven life and positively impacting those around her. She has worked in the recruiting and human resources field for 18 years, supporting thousands of people advance within their careers. She is also the President of San Diego HR Forum, the largest HR network in San Diego.  Through SDHRF she is actively contributing to community awareness, strategizing to raise the viewpoint of HR professionals, providing networking & peer support.  She is also on the board and a supporter of Women In Technology International, a worldwide organization dedicated to the advancement of women in business and technology.

Sales Department: 

Dane Karno – Sales and Marketing Manager

 Dane Karno is the Sales and Marketing Manager at Spencer Reed Consulting, LLC.  He is responsible for connecting the best companies in the world to our world class recruiting team.   It’s a good day for Dane if he can help someone land their dream job, or help a company find the perfect candidate for an opening. If Dane isn’t spending time with his family, he’s learning about new cultures (the cuisines) or somewhere in the wilderness.









Christopher Wood – Account Executive 

Chris is an Account Executive at SRC. He’s been in the Staffing Industry since 2006 where he’s recruited for Light Industrial Division; sourcing candidates within both manufacturing and warehouse environments. He’s spent 5 years recruiting before he became an Account Manager. He was responsible for business development of new clients, AM of existing clients, and overall territory management. Chris is a passionate person who enjoys dining at new, artsy restaurants, craft cocktails and traveling with his wife and friends. He’s been married 2 years and recently bought his first home. He’s recently gotten into cooking as his new hobby (he’s obsessed with food). When he isn’t connecting people professionally or personally, you can find him spoiling his adorable dog, Tamalee!

Debbie Duguay – Lead Executive Recruiter
Debbie Duguay is a Lead Executive Recruiter with a 25+ year track record of highly successful full life-cycle recruiting for regional, nationwide and international positions encompassing numerous industries with a proven track record of recruiting for a wide-range of positions from staff level professionals to C-Suite leaders.  Debbie enjoys laughing with her friends and family, finding treasures on eBay, travelling and she’s an artist with a passion for all types of art from traditional plein air landscape to colorful street & pop art.


Courtney Ring – Account Executive and Recruiter

Courtney Ring is an Account Executive and Recruiter at Spencer Reed Consulting, LLC. She is responsible for connecting amazing companies with top talent and creating lasting partnerships. Courtney has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from San Diego State University and a career background in customer service and consultative sales. When she’s not working she’s spending time with her nephews and planning her next travel destination!



Ryan Rowe – Recruiter

Ryan Rowe is a Recruiter at Spencer Reed Consulting, LLC. She is responsible for providing various tactics to bring the best talent to your company. Ryan started working in the hospitality industry at a very young age and since then has stayed on the career path to helping people. She has extensive experience working in different professional environments that challenge and motivate her daily!  Ryan is inspired by not only her colleagues but by connections she makes with people as a recruiter.



Chelsea Fletcher – Recruiter

Chelsea is a Recruiter with Spencer Reed Consulting. She recently graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Sociology, and her position with SRC will be her first career since finishing school. She thoroughly enjoys recruiting and building relationships with her candidates. A fun fact about her is that last year she spent a semester abroad in Sydney, Australia. She loves traveling, and would love to go to Thailand or Bali for her next trip.



Kate Grossmith – Recruiter

I am a Recruiter through and through! Cal Poly SLO Alumni – Go Mustangs! Most recently worked at Aerotek in Professional Services and Healthcare. Prior to my staffing experience, I was working at an Environmental Consulting firm. Besides working hard and helping others, I am one of 11 kids in my family. When I am not with my family, I am training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I love listening to Third Eye Blind and reading Kurt Vonnegut.



Brenna West – Recruiter

Brenna West is returning to the workforce in full throttle! She’ll be one of SRC’s many awesome Recruiters. She is a mother of two – an 11 year old son and a 5 year old daughter! Brenna just moved to San Diego from Mammoth! Being a mom of two little ones keeps her busy but on her free time, she is passionate about Fitness. She loves to run, box, do high intensity interval train and can even do 20 push-ups. She’s completed two half marathons and wants to train for a full marathon. She also loves happy hour and people.

Account Management Department:

Jamie Verdugo – Vice President of Account Management 

Jamie Verdugo is the Vice President of Account Management at Spencer Reed Consulting, LLC. Her role is to be a Talent Consultant for corporations that need to redevelop their talent strategy. In addition to redevelopment, she also supplements their recruitment efforts. Jamie is a mom of 3 that enjoys working out (cycling and pilates). She also likes vacationing, “ugly” animals and is an Elementary School teacher in her spare time.


Megan Regan – Account Manager

Megan is an Account Manager for SRC! For the last 5 years she had put her career as a Financial Assistance Counselor aside to raise her two children! She comes to SRC with an extensive career in Pharmaceuticals. Megan helped patients all over the world afford the medicine needed through various programs that helped their financial burdens. Megan pretty much loves to do anything with her kiddos. They love anything outdoors and she’s a huge family person; she is 1 of 9! She loves to travel and experience new places and meet new people. Music, football, and exercise are also at the top of her list!

Human Resources Department:

Tiffany Heredia – Operations and Human Resources Manager 

Tiffany Heredia is the Human Resource & Operations Manager at Spencer Reed Consulting, LLC. Tiffany assists with SRC’s daily operations and ensures daily compliance with state and federal regulations. She is originally from Garden Grove, CA and a mother to two beautiful children. In her free time she loves going on local adventures with her kids and dog Cocoa. She also loves listening to music and going to concerts.



Brittany Suhr – Human Resources Generalist

Brittany Suhr is an HR Generalist at Spencer Reed Consulting, LLC. She is responsible for identifying top talent and ensuring smooth onboarding/HR processes. Brittany is a Jersey girl at heart, who has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Stockton University and a career background in Recruitment and Marketing. She is a world traveler and pizza lover. In her free time she loves reading and spending time with her friends and family.



Marketing Department:

Ariel Cortez – Social Media and Human Resources Specialist 

Ariel Cortez is the Social Media/HR Specialist at Spencer Reed Consulting, LLC. She is SRC’s 
resident marketing expert. She is responsible for marketing SRC and maintaining the website, social media, blogs and keeping our candidates/clients interactive. Ariel is a Long Beach native who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Cal State Long Beach (Go 49er’s!). She has a passion for cosmetics, live music and I Love Lucy. In her free time, she loves hanging out with her family and dancing.


Dominic Doan – Media Specialist

Dominic will be executing video marketing campaigns as well as assist with other marketing and branding efforts. He’s previously held positions at Giant Media and Shift, specializing in marketing campaigns on Facebook and out-stream video campaigns that help companies improve their branding. He’s a Long Beach State Alumni! He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Cal State Long Beach (Go 49’ers)!

Project Department:

Sarah Manley – Executive Assistant 

Sarah Manley is the Executive Assistant at Spencer Reed Consulting. She definitely wears multiple hats in within the company! From supporting the CEO, to scheduling appointments, researching latest industry news, managing projects and event/travel planning; the list goes on and on. When she’s not hard at work, you can find her lounging by the pool or traveling!
